A good night’s sleep is commonly defined as:

  • six to eight hours of uninterrupted sleep,
  • awakening refreshed (physically and mentally), clear-headed
  • no daytime sleepiness issues

Yet, one in two adult Canadians report having trouble going to sleep or staying asleep. Chronic insomnia is defined as a sleep disturbance for three or more nights/week for three or more months, with difficulty falling and staying asleep. This can result in distress and impaired daily function, as well as increases in chronic stress and poor mental health.

Want to learn new strategies to improve your sleep and your health?

In this wellness webinar, presented by The Health Depot and Inkblot Therapy, experts will explore how sleep hygiene can positively influence our mood and our health. They will also look at various factors that can impair sleep quality including medications, lifestyle choices, and medical conditions.
