When you sign up for GreenShield Cares’ Women’s Mental Health Program, you’ll receive two free hours of culturally sensitive talk therapy sessions and a complimentary subscription to online coach-assisted therapy (iCBT). We know that one-size therapy does not fit all. Talking to someone who understands unique needs of women – especially those from marginalized and/or racialized communities – can be immensely helpful for one’s healing journey.
Our program offers a personalized counselling matching tool with over 50 matching options, including culture, race, language, and religion, to ensure you can find a mental health professional who shares and/or can relate to your identity and lived experiences. Hundreds of our certified practitioners identify as a person of colour, Indigenous or Black so you can find the support that’s right for you.

There isn’t a one size fits all approach when it comes to your mental health. Our program offers two free hours of talk therapy, free access to online coach-assisted therapy (iCBT) and resources to support you on your journey.
Our program is open to 18+ Canadians who are women, transgender women, women-identifying, non-binary and gender non-conforming including those from racialized and/or marginalized groups who are underserved by the current mental health system. We recognize and acknowledge the intersection of race, Indigenous identities, individuals living with a disability and a range of gender identities, and we aim to provide programming that is inclusive and accessible
The two hours of complimentary talk therapy expire on December 31, 2023.Internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy (iCBT) puts you in the driver’s seat of your mental health and well-being. You’ll receive one free year so that you can get the support you need anytime, anywhere, and on your schedule. This online coach-assisted program is designed primarily for individuals experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety and depression. Our online assessment tool will help determine if iCBT is the right fit for you.
We want to help remove barriers that women who identify as part of a marginalized and/or racialized groups may face in accessing therapy, including the challenge of finding a therapist such as good fit, long wait times, and cost. Formerly known as Room for Her, the program has been upgraded to offer two free hours of talk therapy and online coach-assisted iCBT, instead of self-guided.
